LG HX300G Projector: 20 Questions Answeredġ) What is the native resolution and what is the max resolution? The main point is that the price of the HX300G may make it seem like it is overpriced, but when you start comparing all the different technology that is in your typical Pico or microportable projector you might discover that one unit, even if it may not be as bright, is a better choice. Also, the shape and size of the two units might make the HX300G a better fit for traveling depending on what you use as luggage when you travel. The HX300G features lamp technology that lasts 30,000 hours, where as the Casio has an estimated lamp life of about 2000 hours. Seems like the logical winner over the HX300G, but if you compare some really important specs then you might think differently. So overall it is about the size of a small laptop in all around dimensions. It is very compact in terms of its height an has a notebook paper sized footprint. For example Casion makes a projector called the XJ-S33. The Casio XJ series has a few projectors that have MSRP's of $699 and lumen ratings about 6 times higher than the HX300G, but you must keep in mind some of the characteristics that truly differentiate the two projectors. The only area that leaves me on the fence is the MSRP of $799 for a projector that is only a few hundred less than some really nice standard portable projector. Well, if you have read the previous pages from this review you can already tell I am a pretty big fan of this projector.
